downloadMOVIE TO CHECK OUT:  It.  I watched this with my roommate and his siblings.  I enjoy watching scary movies, but none of them scares me, so I look for a cohesive plot with amazing twists.  It made me laugh, even jump out of my seat out of surprise (once but still, considering it doesn’t really happen) and even cheer for characters.  I’m not really surprised that I liked this movie, since it’s a novel by Stephen King, and after the stupid disaster that is Annabelle Creation, this movie was a breath of fresh air.

3605971553936_naked_heatMUST BUY MAKEUP:  Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Palette.  I have always been a fan of the Naked Palette series, but this particular one suits my skin tone out of all of the ones released.  I would have preferred more matte colors but I can forgive that — the pigmentation is beyond amazing.  I found that it has less fallout than the previous versions so that is another plus.

FUN SPOT:  Ganadara Bar at Ste-Catherine Street, Montreal.  It is not a secret that I love download (1)anything Korean.  The albacore tataki, skewer set (chicken skin and chicken heart people) and bulgogi nachos were amazing.  But their bingsus take the effin’cake.  The prices are reasonable too, especially since Korean restaurants are known to be on the expensive side.  Love the decor as well and of course their music (KPOP)

CHART TOPPER:  BTS’ Love Yourself:  Her.  The boys are back and they did not bts_1505228590_Screen_Shot_2017-09-12_at_11.01.01_AM.pngdisappoint!  This album is a departure from their signature sound, with songs that are more EDM than their previous releases.  BTS‘ advantage over other Kpop groups is that they write and produce their own songs, so the possibilities are endless.  They are also known to speak their mind, however controversial a topic is.  On this album, they even have a song telling ARMY (their fandom) to chill and not forget to live their lives by focusing on just being BTS fans.  Some say it is a diss track, but I find that it is more the, showing concern for their fans, who they genuinely love and appreciate.  They have been breaking records left and right with this comeback and I am not surprised.  Don’t forget to listen to Jimin’s Intro:  Serendipity — Jimin slayed that song.  His vocals are improving.

FAVORITE(S) in this album:  I LOVE them all, but if I have to pick, it’ll be the Vocal Line’s Dimple.

So it’s been a while.  I’m sorry.  I have been too busy lately.  I went back to working full time for now, since school really put a hole in my bank account.  To be honest, I don’t think I’m going to go back to school.  Reason?  Age.  Money.  Interest.  The list is endless.

So to sum up my absence:

CURRENTLY WATCHING:  Knowing Brothers featuring the kings Bangtan Sonyeondanbts_20170917_124644 (BTS).  They are back and they have been slaying the charts!  This particular TV guesting had me laughing non stop.  I heard the cast were holding back in fear of ARMY backlash, but as a BTS fan, it was funny nonetheless.

CURRENTLY EATING:  Nothing.  It’s 3:30 am here, so yeah.

CURRENTLY CRAVING:  Bubble Milk Tea.  I have been craving this for weeks now, which is bad, since I am a type 2 diabetic.

CURRENTLY DRINKING:  Diet Coke.  Nothing special.

dec0fdf80d4c050111defb64e52cf5ee--brown-boots-outfit-fashion-bootsCURRENTLY WANTING TO BUY:  a new pair of fall boots.  I’m not a shoe person, per se.  I usually buy a pair and use it until it breaks or splits in half.  This year however, I decided to splurge a little bit.  I noticed that my paycheck depletes because of my restaurant hopping and I want to try and buy something for ME every paycheck — be it shoes, bag, clothes, makeup or skin care.  Something that is NOT food, goddamnit.

39efbdd3e8deb5912bf65eaae59b705d1b4cd51c_00CURRENTLY CRUSHING:  Who the FUCK else?  None other than the Golden Maknae of BTS, Jeon Jungkook.  Do I really have to tell you why?  He sings like an angel, exudes sexiness when he dances, has swag when he raps, he’s a freaking athlete, his body is to die for and despite all that, he remains one of the humblest, most down to earth celebrity I have ever known.  Yes, I know, I got it BAAAD.  I am so trash it’s embarrassing.

CURRENT SONG ON REPEAT:  DNA by BTS.  Actually, fuck that.  I have the whole Love Yourself:  Her on repeat.  Check it out if you haven’t already!  All the songs are great, but I recommend Dimple and Mic Drop the most.

CURRENTLY UPSET ABOUT:  My stupid roommate.  He has been an asshole as of late.  I can’t even manage to talk to him without wanting to slap that stupid look on his face.

Well there you go!  Toodles!

I should not have.

Soooo I’m back again.

Being obsessed with BTS means having to find ways to see them when they are currently not actively promoting and visible.  They are currently resting and their Wings tour will resume in a few days, so needy me needed to find a way to not miss them so much.  I decided…to read BTS fanfiction.

I don’t really like reading fanfictions because they are generally written haphazardly and since I am a reader, I know I’ll be annoyed reading something written by a person who has no business writing.  That being said, I searched online for the most well written BTS fanfiction and I came across a story that evolves around Jikook — meaning JImin and JungKOOK.  I was hesitant at first because as much as I love those Jikook youtube videos where they’re bromancing to the fullest, I wasn’t sure that I was ready to read something that is full on romance — especially since these two are my my biases in BTS.  I said to myself, fuck it.  YOLO, right?

I read one that is full on pornographic — it was like reading Fifty Shades of Grey, only more real because I can actually put actual faces on the two leads.  I thought the sex was going to turn me off, but I was suprised to find myself wanting to know what happens to the story next, and feeling that the sex parts are just a necessary part of their budding romance.  Is that weird?

I still don’t think they’re gay, but I found myself being okay with it they are.  Heaven help me.

M Countdown

So BTS made their comeback official at M Countdown.  They sang both title tracks, and I must say that they slayed both the performances.  Spring Day surprised me more, I expected them to just stand there and sing it since it’s a ballad but they had choreo and it was a masterpiece.  It suited Jimin the most, his contemporary roots really shone through.

Not Today was fire.  It was explosive and the choreography was divine.  At the last second though, Jeon Jungkook decided to be rude and winked.  I almost had a fucking heart attack.  He used to so timid and innocent — now he is a disrespectful beast who’s ready to kill you.  He knows what he is doing, this boy.

Here are the performances:

Bangtan Sonyeondan.

SOOOOOOOO!

I haven’t been posting anything lately since I have been very busy with school, work and FilCan Idol.  I’m not complaining though, this is exactly what I wanted.  It’s harder than I thought it would be, but I’m powering through.

2Aside from all that, I am presently obsessed with a South Korean band BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan).  I realize that I am way too old to be fangirling, but I cannot help myself.  These group of young men are impressive in every sense of the word.  They are the most talented yet incredibly humble human beings.  I am not ashamed to be an ARMY (their fandom) at this age.

I love them all, but I gotta say that I am definitely leaning towards their maknae, Jeon Jungkook.  Name it, he has it — looks, dance prowess, skillful set of hands (drawing), athlete and most of all — his voice is ethereal.  No wonder he is called the golden maknae.

I’m seeing them on March 23!  BANG BANGTAN!
